We had snow flurries this weekend, but that doesn't mean that spring isn't right around the corner! And even if the flowers aren't blooming yet, we can still create our own paper blossoms .
Today, I'm going to show you how to make a Buttercup using your Cheery Lynn Designs Dies. It's an easy flower to put together, but looks lovely in a spray of flowers.
These are the pieces you will need to cut for each flower. If you refer to the Build a Flower PDF on the CLD website, you will notice that each of the dies in this series has the petals numbered for easy reference.
You will build the flower using one Large Rose as the base. Shape this by running a stylus around in a circle in the middle of the flower so that the petals curl up. Ink the edges of the 5 flower peatals (cut from BAF3). Shape them with the mat and stylus, so that the petals curl upwards. Glue Each petal to the rose base. Shape the 3 center pieces with the stylus, just as you did the rose. Dip each tip in Tacky Glue, and sprinkle with Flower Soft. Allow to dry. Glue these to the center of the flower, and add a Dew Drop to the very center.
And now you have one more flower to add to your garden!
The Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge this week is doilies! And you know we have the most incredible doilies around - so play along for your chance to win a $20 gift certificate!
